Visual Abstracts: What, why, and how?

Visual abstracts can now be seen at many journals. JAMA, NEJM, BMJ, and other specialty specific journals have adopted this method of science communication. This interactive workshop will be led by Dr. Andrew Ibrahim, world leader in the technique of creating Visual Abstracts, and aims to provide participants with some key concepts for creating a successful visual abstract.

Dr. Andrew Ibrahim (@AndrewMIbrahim) hails from the University of Michigan where he is cross appointed to the Department of Surgery & @TaubmanCollege School of Architecture. He is an Editor for the JAMA Network, and founder Visual Abstract.
Host/Moderator
Dr. Teresa Chan (@TChanMD) is an associate professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine at McMaster University. She is the assistant dean for McMaster Faculty of Health Sciences Program for Faculty Development (@MacPFD). She is an avid scholar in health professions education and works with the MERIT group (@MERIT_McMaster), and conducts research and scholarship within this area.
