One of the most common things that happens to medical education scholars and educators in precisely the thing we don't talk about: failure. It happens to all of us... the talk we thought was inspirational was forgettable, the bedside teaching we thought was making a difference was unnoticed, the research idea was groundbreaking actually wasn't. So why is it that our failures are rarely part of our discussions about scholarship in medical education?
In this session, we address and educators from around the world about the experiences with failure, and we share tips for how to harness failure as an opportunity for growth.
